Message from our President ...
From the Board of Directors, I welcome you to the website of
Greensboro Education and Development Council, Inc From its beginnings
in 1988 to present day, GEDC has been driven to continue the work
started by Kenneth Alston, Mary Tay-Bynum and others who formed
the vision and laid the groundwork.
The staff at GEDC has been relentless in its altruistic quest
to maintain the highest level of service. Year after year, the
fruits of those efforts can be seen in the lives of those who
participate in the various curricula and special events that GEDC
develops. Through the service that GEDC provides, results can
be seen as academic performance is improved, social skills are
developed, artistic talents are discoverd, and people are empowerd
to lead.
GEDC offers a ripe opportunity for any company interested in
investing in the community in which it does business. There are
opportunities for Employee Development through direct participation
and for Community Development through sponsorships and support.
